Booking Information

How to book your stay at Island Lodge

Please submit the online enquiry form or call the site office in 01548 852956.
Island Lodge will confirm availability and terms.

Deposit and Payment

A non refundable deposit is required to secure your booking: deposit requirements depend on your length of stay and the date of booking.
Deposit requirement - the first four nights of your stay, or full payment if less than four nights.
Deposits can be paid by bank transfer and must be received within 24 hours of making your booking.
If your booking is within 28 days full payment will be required.
Your reservation will remain provisional until the deposit is received. If the deposit is not paid with the specified time, the booking will be released.
Your booking will be confirmed by email once your deposit has been received. Please ensure we have all the relevant information (number of adults/children (plus ages)/pets). It is your responsibility to ensure all booking details are correct.
The remaining balance of your reservation is payable by bank transfer at least 28 days prior to your arrival

General Information and Site Rules

Arrival and Departure

Check-in is from midday, with the latest arrival at 6.00pm. Unfortunately, later arrivals cannot be accommodated.
Please contact reception on arrival for your pitch allocation.
Your unit must fit within your designated pitching area
On departure day, pitches must be vacated by 11.30am - please ensure you have removed all your belongings from the pitch (including awning & tent pegs/litter)

Speed and Safety

Maximum speed on site is 5mph
All drivers must hold a full driving licence
Security barrier closed from 10pm to 8am - do not give the access code to non site guests
CCTV in operation
Children (under 14) must be supervised when using any of the site facilities
The play area must be vacated by dusk, or 9pm at the latest - no bikes/scooters or skateboards to be used in this area
Day visitors are welcome by prior arrangement only. Your guests must vacate the site by 10pm. If using site facilities additional charges may apply
No smoking in any of the site facilities. Out of respect of other guests please do not smoke on the paths or outside of the facility buildings.
Fire extinguishers located to the rear of the laundry and entrance to the top field
Defibrillator located behind the laundry room

Dogs and Pets

Dogs are very welcome (maximum two dogs per pitch)
Dogs must be tethered and kept on a lead at all times
Owners must clean up after their dog, including the dog exercise area and the adjacent lane
Doggie bags are available at reception and should be disposed of in the appropriate bin
Dogs must not be left unattended on site
Please do not take your dog/s into any of the site facilities or onto the play area (except guide dogs)
Do not allow or take your dog onto the adjacent farmland - only use the designated dog exercise area
Breed restrictions apply - please check prior to booking
Passport inspection may be required for all non-UK dogs

Noise and Conduct

For the comfort of all guests please keep noise levels to a minimum, especially into the evening and overnight
Quiet hours are 10pm to 8.30am
Caravan/motorhome/vehicle and boat washing is not permitted on site
The flying of drones is not allowed anywhere on site

Equipment and Facilities

Electric hook-up - information will be provided on arrival
Only low wattage electrical appliances should be used on pitches
Mains drinking water tap on your pitch
Grey waste disposal point located on your pitch
Barbecues are permitted but must be raised from the ground. Disposable barbecues, open fires and fire pits are not allowed
Gazebos and pup tents are not permitted
Wifi available. Please note this is not suitable for streaming
Toilet waste - Only green septic tank friendly (formaldehyde free) toilets fluids may be used. Blue and pink fluids are not permitted. Please dispose of your toilet waste in the designated facility.

Liability

Island Lodge and the site owner accept no liability for:
Death, injury, illness, inconvenience or other misadventure
Loss, theft, or damage to property
Covid-19 or similar restrictions may apply in line with governement guidelines
Unavailability of any site facility or service due to circumstances beyond the control of Island Lodge/Owner

A full set of terms and conditions along with general site information will be provided with your seasonal pitch contract.
